Wooden toys: the oldest in the world

Wood together with stone and clay is one of the first materials used by men to build toys. Two classics of wooden toys are more recent: the doll's house, which was born in the 16th century in Germany, and the rocking horse, in use in the United States since the 17th century.

Wood is a resistant material: therefore wooden games are made to last over time and thus stimulate the child's ability to become attached to them. And if the toys break ... they can almost always be repaired, with simple vinyl glue and a night's rest.
